I'm putting together a V8 swap for my 2000 right now. It's a 5 speed 4.0 4x4. I'm going to use the Ex 4R70W though. I don't mind the auto. Then I have a BW 4406 manual T-case from an F150. You can use a 5 speed from a 4.2 v6 F150. If you use the 5 speed you will need a tune.
